There is an optional 3 pin connector for power supply fan failure monitoring on some power supplies. Such as Bestec ATX-1523D (HP part number 5185-2917) or Bestec ATX-1523F this power supply does not have that 3 pin connector and is not needed and in fact, can be a source of erroneous messages.
Note: If the original has a P7, P9 or FAN/C 3 Pin connector...no problem. The replacement unit operates without this connector.
The replacement unit has built-in fan control.
